Erik,
I don’t know the answer to this, but I’d be
leary of sending a BIN file through mail. Source code
should make it through the process ok, but with all
the format switching, and (maybe some filtering of
characters on MAI files?) rewriting, would a BIN file
make it through the wringer?

    Binary files work fine. Absolutely no filtering of the message takes place.
