SORRY, BUT I HAVEN’T BEEN ON IN A WHILE. A FRIEND ORDERED US TWO ID BRAND RGB
MONITORS MADE BY TOSHIBA. CAME FROM GODFATHERS’…HAVE IBM INPUT…I USE WITH
APPLE IIE. THEY WORK GREAT AND HAVE SUPER SPECS, BUT NO ANALOG INPUT FOR COCO
3.
I MAY PICK UP A MAGNAVOX FOR THAT. THEN I COULD USE IT FOR IBM IF I EVER GO
THAT ROUTE, SINCE THEY ARE GOING ANALOG DO YOU NEED MORE INFO?

The sort of analog RGB that the CoCo uses (and the Magnavox 8CM515 supports)
Thus, tho IBM is “going analog”, you will NOT be able to
use the analog Maganvox 8CM515 or 8CM643 with the new
IBM protocol, for a higher horizontal synch rate capability
is needed, as would be a finer phosphor pitch too.
You’d need to get into multisynch type monitors,
(made by NEC, Magnavox, and by Sony) that cost upwards
of $600 each to be able to display the sort of analog
RGB that IBM will be using.
Sorry.
On the other hand, the Magnavox does support the ancient
IBm CGA protocol. Most folks in the IBM world consider this
an obsolete, crude, uselessly low resolution. It happens to
be the same resolution as that of the Coco 3.
