06/24/06: Rainbow Ide 1.4 by Roger, | Category: General | Comments are closed

Hello gang,

Did you know you can move your Portal-9 projects over to Rainbow? From Rainbow, just open your Portal-9 project (.por) and when you resave it, it will be converted to the Rainbow format (.bow).

I’m wondering what projects you guys have on the table for the CoCo using the Rainbow IDE.

If you started an IDE project and don’t have time to complete it or you want to hand it off to somebody else to finish, why not consider mentioning it here and see if some other developer can finish your work. We really need to get some new games and material to liven things up a bit.

You can also turn some of your messy ghostware CoCo assembly projects into Rainbow IDE projects by creating a new project and loading in all of your source components. Every time you reload your project, all of your source files will be reloaded for editing and building, and you can really produce something in a fraction of the time you can using a real CoCo and ancient tools.

If you haven’t had a chance to play around with the Rainbow IDE for CoCo development and other vintage computers, here’s the site where you can download a working copy:

http://www.rainbowide.com

See you there.
