Tandy Color Computer 3 In Store Demo – Spectral Associates

Ahhhh yes…. more nostalgia. Remember going to the Shack seeing this and buying my first CoCo3 (had a gray since 1982). Donated it, four floppy drives, over 200 floppy disks and my printer to my sisters kids when I got stationed in Washington, D.C. It was trashed a month later b/c they couldn’t figure it out…

  • That demo has a sound track which doesn’t seem to be working here. As I remember it, the beginning of the demo showing a sun rising over the horizon has Morning Mood from Peer Gynt playing in the background. This demo is copyrighted 1986.

Now the interesting thing is that in the May 1985 issue of Hot Coco, I had published a program, p. 42, which showed the sun rising in the sky with the same music playing. This program for the Coco1 used artifact colors. I had also demonstrated the program at a Detroit Coco club.
Later in 1986 when the Coco3 demo was released, the club members told me your program has been stolen and used by Tandy!
