01/31/10: Are these 64K chips that would work with a CoCo1? by hhos, | Category: General | 1 comment

I have some chips that have the number 8043665 on them. I am almost certain that they are 64k DRAM chips. They are 16 pin chips, but since I can’t remember where I got them I can’t be absolutely certain. If they are 64k DRAMs I want to upgrade my CoCo1 F board to 64k with them. I don’t want to go to the trouble of removing the caps on the board, just to find out that they won’t work. My favorite chip datasheet archives don’t have anything on them, so can anyone confirm that these are 64k chips, or identify them as something else?

Thanks,
HH

I think I’ve found my own answer. A similar chip is used in my older CoCo1, with a # of 8040665. It is definitely a 64k machine, so I will go ahead and lift the caps and put them in. Thanks.
