    The problem might not be related to Windows 7. Some video chips/cards don’t have completely accurate colors in 8-bit video modes like 640×480. My current PC has such a video chip, unfortunately (Intel HD Graphics).

    What video card or video chip do you have?

    Intel HD graphics as well. Now there is batch to correct the problem that virtually disables Windows and restores it after one finishes running the game but given the fact that VCC is designed to start in Windowed mode I would certainly not recommend using it for VCC. But it does work for 8/16/32 bit modes with games that use a DirectX fullscreen that have the messed up color palette problem.

    PunkMaister – I’d be interested in knowing the name of this program, if you could supply it. Thanks. :-)

    Sure here it is:

    @ECHO OFF
    taskkill /f /IM explorer.exe > NUL
    start /w game or application name.exe
    choice /N /T 2 /C 7 /D 7 > NUL
    start /B /I explorer.exe
    taskill /f /IM game or application name.exe > NUL

    Again do not repeat not attempt to use it on any game or emulator that starts in Windowed mode as opposed to DirectX or OpenGL fullscreen.

    Enjoy. :)
