Am I the only one who cant get used to this new WordPress style of posts to the forums? Its probably why I dont read the posts anymore. It all seems all spaced out with new posts in a big long list when you click a category on the left. How do I navigate to Categories and see whats new and what has been read like the old format? It all seems all over the place to me. Is there a way to make the font size on these post heading smaller and not double spaced? I’m sure some here like it and I dont mean to criticise the layout but I just cant get into this setup for some reason. I tried to use Dashboard mode and sort the posts by category and view threads but I cant seem to make it happen. It all seems very clunky. Just my 2 cents.

This message is to Roger,

My original username (pilot352) and password seemed to get corrupt in the change to the new site. It recognized mt username but not my password. When I tried to have it sent to me, it said I had an invalid e-mail address yet it knew who I was. You new site seemed to become “self-aware” and has decided that I’m not worthy of access.

Is there a way to restore my original username and password???????

I am new here, just registered this week. I do have a suggestion. Please allow a contact method for visitors to your site to use without having to log on. If there is such a mechanism in place, my apologies, I looked for it and was not able to find it.

I tried registering about 2 months ago. I entered my nickname (Saga), email and password. All seemed to go fine. I got the screen that told me that an email would be sent to me. I never got this email. After about a week I tried again, but the login screen told me that the nickname had been taken. I tried using another nickname with the same email, but now it told me that the email was in use. I then tried to logon, but that did not work out either. I have a specific email that I use to participate in forums, so I did not want use any of the other emails that I have. I waited a few days more and tried to register again. This time it allowed me to register, but again I did not get any email. After about a month of waiting and retrying I lurked in the forums and found 2 names, those being Roger and Mary. I located a contact page for Roger on his website that promotes the RainbowIDE and attempted to contact him through there, but I guess it did not go through. I also found Mary’s email for her news letter (excellent newsletter, by the way!!!) and was able to establish contact with her. She was very helpful and gave me a few tips. Unfortunately none of them allowed me to register correctly.

I then waited a few days more. This is when I tried to locate a contact email on the Coco3 website. The site is vast, so I can’t say that I scoured every page, but I was not able to locate any obvious way to contact the webmaster. The forums and chat room are only available to registered members. I finally caved and used another email. I was able to register as Saga with this new email and all seemed to go fine, except that I again never got the confirmation email. I tried changing nicknames using the same email, but it told me that the email was taken. After a few days more I tried again using the new nickname and the new email, but again I did not get the confirmation email.

I waited over the weekend (Jul 20) and on Monday I used a third email with the new nickname and much to my surprise I finally got the confirmation email and as you can see by my ability to post this message, I was able to login correctly. I really would have appreciated if there had been a way to contact people at this website to receive some orientation as to why I was not receiving the confirmation emails. The only common denominator for the first two emails is that they are hosted by netscape.net while the third email is a semi private address hosted on a server.

In any case, I am glad to be here and hope to make new friends.

There is a problem with the icons that indicates new posts and the type of traffic. They mostly are not working.

Since I just see white icons, I’ve assumed there has been no traffic in the forums. It was just luck that I looked at the dates for the last messages and saw some from June 7 & 8.
